TMI: Pee related

SORRY in advance..the last 4 days I have had really dark pee and I wasn't drinking any less than normal, although I have felt much more thirsty than usual.  My pee was like iced tea color (thats how it was described online) and if I drank ALOT of water it would help a little, but still dark and it would only be lighter right after I drank water.  Now today and yesterday it looks almost blood tinged..I don't think it means I am dehydrated, but who knows..I've been drinking more than usual and this has been on going..should I call my regular doctor? TIA..I didn't know who else to ask

are you having any burning when you pee?  it sounds like a urinary tract infection - i would go see a doctor just to be sure...

I'd call just to be sure too.

However, my urine has been darker since delivery, no matter how much/little water I drink.  Nowhere near as dark as yours, but darker than it was anywhere from slightly to a lot.  I assume I'm fine since I have no pain or burning, don't feel like I have to go constantly or anything.

Was is cloudy to being with?

If so I think you may have a UTI.

It doesn't have to burn when you pee for it to be a UTI. I had a chronic UTI during pg, hospitalized for it 3 times. I never had any symptoms other than dark pee and the DRs office tests. The first hospitalization was because my side hurt constantly, turned out to be my kidney. So go to the DR and get it checked out!!

No burning or anything and I stupidly can't remember if it was cloudy to begin with..do I call my regular Dr. or my OB? Thanks girls

Your reg doc will work. They will just have you pee in a cup and dipstick it at either office.
