every morning. It starts with fussing/loud grunting/farting all in her sleep, then eventually she wakes up screaming and is inconsolable for a while, until I eventually nurse her and she relaxes and falls asleep, only to repeat the same thing a couple of hours later. I just don't know what to do anymore. I've tried everything i can think of: diet changes for me, gas drops, tummy massage and bicycling her legs (usually her stomach is rock hard at this point so it's pretty impossible to do either of these). I feel so guilty b/c I feel like it must be something I am eating, as some days it is worse than others, but I don't know what it could be. She just screams and flails her arms and legs and will momentarily stop when she finally farts and then she keeps going about 2 seconds later. Has anyone else experienced this/have any advice/recommendations?

Re: Pls help- 6 wk old wakes up screaming from gas...
Make sure you're burping her after she eats, since air in her tummy will eventually wind up in her intestines. Do you have a heating pad? When DS gets that way, I turn a heating pad on the lowest setting and lay it across me lap. Then I lay a blanket over it and lay the baby face down on my lap so that my thigh is putting pressure on his lower abdomen, and rub circles on his back. That usually calms him down.
