2nd Trimester

this gets talked about a lot but..

Has anyone around 22 weeks just not felt pregnant? I've been really tired and had swollen ankles but I just don't feel like I did a week ago. I haven't really felt much movement and I feel like my stomach has shrunk even though it really probably hasn't.

Maybe i'm just worried because I was sick and i've had a lot going on the past week or so.

I can't wait for the 17th when I get another ultrasound.

  • I've felt that way for most of this pregnancy, it's been a very easy one. It wasn't until i felt her moving at 23w that it started to feel more real.

  • My next ultrasound is on the 17th too!

I was worried a couple days ago because I hadn't felt the baby move in awhile, but last night s/he was kicking up a storm. I'm sure your baby is just having quiet time, too.

good luck on the 17th at your u/s! They have to look at more on my babys heart because she wouldn't cooperate at our big u/s! lol

I'm hoping its just quiet time for her. I know it's too early for me to be worrying about lack of movement but it's so hard to not worry!

When I get stressed, I think about all the growing they are doing in there. Seriously, it is such hard work for them and probably so tiring. It makes sense that they would be asleep more and rest more. Plus, they are practicing their blinking and sucking, etc, which is just as important but quieter. I'm sure your daughter is in there just blinking away! :)

  • I was the same way (and still am to some degree)...I felt really good during most of second tri, I "forgot" I was pregnant for awhile lol

And baby def was not regular with movements yet, it came and went in little spurts.

  • i'm 20w and i've never felt pregnant (except that one day in first tri when i was nauseous for a couple of hours). ?and baby just decided to start kicking last night. ?i also have disappearing bump syndrome. ? when i wake up in the morning it's so tiny and then by the evening it's bigger but only because i've eaten lol. ?i'm sure you're just fine but i know what it feels like to be a little frustrated by the progress (or lack thereof at times!). ?
  • Hey girl. :0) Isnt your placenta in the front? That is another reason you dont feel as much movement. I remember I was in the doctor quite a bit having those NST tests b/c of mine! Dont worry about it, everything is fine. (I know that is easier said than done) Wink
