Due date with late ovulation?

I usually ovulate around day 20 of 35 day cycles.   When trying to figure out my due date, some sites say I'm 5 weeks 2 days and others say 6 weeks 1 day, depending on if I enter my ovulation date or not.  That's a big difference I feel! 

I'm very curious what the dr will say at my first u/s on friday.  Any late ovulators have any insight to share on due date calculations???

I too am curious about my due date. My chart got all messed up when I put in a temp so I'm not sure exactly when I Oed and I tested the day of my missed period and got bfn, then tested 5 days later because still no AF and got BFP. So I'm thinking I'm not as far along as my ticker says. I have a dr. apt on tuesday though so we will see then.

Well I have very short cycles....so the due date that my dr's office originally thought and the due date that I had come up with were very different.  But when I had my u/s because of spotting they changed their due date to just a day off from my calculations.  Sorry if that doesn't answer your question...but really with my DD I had NO IDEA when I had ovulated and I was horrible about even tracking my periods and my original due date was November 25th, then with an u/s the moved it up to October 20th.  She came on October 10th.  So in the end none of those dates mattered to her.

Not sure if this will help you or not but it might give you some insight into the situation.  My cycles are always irregular.  My LMP was 12/4 which, in a perfect world, should put my ovulation date at 12/18.  I am positive of the date (within two days) that I got pregnant because my husband and I were out of town at the time.  I know I got pregnant 12/26 or 12/27.  This shows that I obviously ovulated late... which makes sense since I know my cycles are normally longer than 28 days.  If you get your EDD just from the simple EDD math, you are getting the date based on a 28 day cycle with ovulation at day 14.  For me, this put my due date at 9/11.  When I had my first ultrasound, I measured a little over a week behind what the Dr thought and changed my due date to 9/20.  Like I said, I'm not sure if that helps at all but I thought it might give you a better idea of a situation similar to yours and how the dates played out.  Sorry if it confuses you even more!

Do you know when you ovulated? If you do then your Dr. SHOULD go by that date as it's way more accurate than LMP for those of us who ovulate super late.

IMO, you should go with the later predicted due date.  I also ovulated fairly late in a 32 day cycle.  Based on my LMP of 12/3, my due date should have been 9/7 or 9/8 I think, but my midwife put it at 9/17 based on my first ultrasound.  She said that was perfectly normal.

I ovulated about the same and cycles were about that length, too.

1st U/S- 1/27

 Although my OB used 1/22 as his marker, the hospital (where the ultrasounds took place and I delivered) always went by 1/27.

I would use the 5w2d until you get the U/S done. Then go by what that says since early U/S are the most accurate.

I know I ovulated on CD 17, and that was exactly how the baby is measuring.

They usually will give you a due date based upon the measurement of the baby.

The doctor will go by the measurement of your baby based off of the first ultrasound.

I have very irregular ovulation patterns, and my last MP was on 5/27/08 but my DD was changed to 3/8 instead of 3/4 based off of my ultrasound.

I'd go with your late O date for now. But don't sweat it. They will measure how far along you are during the ultrasound and it's all an estimate anyway. Good luck at your first ultrasound!

I was using fertility friend and I always ovulate in the third week of my cycle. This last cycle I got pg I O'd on CD 22 or so and the program estimates my due date at 8-26-09 based on that O date. So I will really be 41 weeks when the baby is due, not the standard 40. For the ticker I used the due date and that's more reliable in my case than just using the last date of your period. That works better for girls that O around CD 14.

I was a late "ovulator" as well and my due date is about 5 days past the 40-week estimation from my LMP.

(LMP calculation said my due-date was April 30, but its actually May 5th)
