Found a lump on my baby's head!

I was giving my 3 month old a bath the other night and I noticed on the one side of his head where it rounds there is a hard lump. I never felt that before bu my DH thinks he has.  I know everyone's head is not perfectly rounded or lump free but this just feels like a big knot (hard). A few people I showed said they felt it to. I am taking him to the pedi on Monday but now I am so sick to my stomach that something is wrong. One thing I thought of is the other day my almost 3 yr old tried taking the baby out of the swing. When I came in the baby was hanging with his head on the ground (carpet) and still buckled in on the one side. He never cried but maybe he got hurt?? The lump isnt red or bruised...all these thoughts are going through my head!

G has this place on his head that feels like his skull was cracked open and there is a lump right there beside it.  I freaked when I first felt it when he was around 2 months and asked the pedi at his appt.  The pedi felt it and said it was normal.  Sounds similar to what you found.  Good luck though and I hope everything is ok.

My neice has something similar on her head.  Pedi said it is just the way her skull formed.  I am sure everything is fine.  Good luck.
