When taking Prometrium, when do you get your period?

This is the first time I was told to take Prometrium until I just start my period. Usually, when I go 6 weeks without a period, I'm given a 10 day supply and I start either before I finish my last pill or the day after. This time, I was given a 30 day supply, and I was told to stop taking them whenever I get a period or to keep taking them if I get a BFP.

I was just wondering when I should expect a period when I'm just taking one everyday like this.

I took prometrium recently for ten days, and the RE nurse said to typically expect a period one 2-days later after stopping the pills. ?Mine started 2 days later exactly, which was a nice change from my experience with provera which took weeks and weeks. ?I'm sure it's different for everyone though. ?I haven't heard, though, of continually taking them until your period stops and then stopping. ?

Is this for low progesterone in the lp or just to start your next cycle? Having low progesterone, I can understand taking 30 days worth, but to just start your cycle, 10 days should be enough (Perhaps you got 3 cycles worth) It can take up 14 days after the last pill for you to start bleeding. I average 3, but I have waited as long as 12 in the past.

The second option. She said to keep taking them until I get my period. I was like "But wait, don't I take this to get a period?" and she that if I am pregnant, I won't get a period. If I'm not, I will, since it's clear that I ovulated.

I found this very confusing, which is why I'm turning to you guys. I'm definitly going to call my doc Monday to just be sure I heard right but just wanted your expierence.
