I don't know anything about that specific model, but Pali cribs get really great reviews and have never had a recall. I'd definitely take one for free. I've been scouting craigslist for one under $200. I passed up on that was $150 and I'm regretting it.

the fact that they have never had a recall (and have been around awhile) makes me feel good. I do notice most models have the side that comes down..i feel like i heard that was dangerous..no?
There's definitely a movement away from drop-side cribs out of concern for safety (I suppose that an older baby could get out / fall out if the side came down by accident). But they are still quite common. Actually, I'm 5'2" and am specifically looking for a drop-side crib despite the potential safety issue because I'm not tall enough to reach into a fixed-side crib. I feel more comfortable using one from a company with overall well-made products, since the drop-side mechanism is less likely to be flaky. I suppose it comes down to a personal decision.
