Is it ok to fully bathe DS? How about if I shower with him?

Sam's fell off at 5 days, we were told to sponge bath until it fell off.

We bathed Will the same day it fell off. He was stinky.

I gave it a couple days just to be safe. 

I shower with my dd and she LOVES it!  I don't know what I'm going to do when I'm not able to anymore.  She still does not like her tub!

Aw, congrats on your new baby!

Aidan's fell off around ten days old.  My nurses okay'ed a real bath when he was 6-7 days old.  They did check on it every day to make sure there wasn't any redness around the stump, and I cleaned it with an antiseptic solution and cotton ball after the bath (and just about every day, when I changed his clothes).

His Dr. said to wait until it looks healed and isn't leaving ooze on things.
