So DS2 got in trouble in school today and his punishment was to go to b ed early, so he started arguing with me and I told him he was going to bed now and that's the end of the discussion.

And it was. I have found the magic phrase!

I'm still trying to use the "Santa's watching" line.  So lame.  And ineffective.

I use that one now on my dd when she keeps going on and it works   I also use it at school when kids keep getting on each and we've talked about it.  Some kids like to stir the pot again and it's my phrase for them.
