Co-sleeping ?

When did DC start sleeping through the night?

When did you move them to their own bed/crib?

C is currently teething so what sleep I used to get is now 0000..I'm wondering when teething stops if he'll actually sleep better or sleep longer if he sleeps in his own crib...

Your thoughts?

 TIA

  • We moved D into his crib at about 9 or 10 months. Mainly because he was waking up a few times a night while sleeping with us, and seemed to sleep better on his own at naps. He adjusted just fine, never cried and really enjoys his time alone. When I moved him to his crib he started sleeping about 12 hours a night. I miss my snuggle time so I usually lay with him as he falls asleep or is almost asleep.. and then move him.

Thanks ladies! Just knowing that other people are going through the same thing I am makes me feel better....

  • Z started sleeping through the night here and there around a year. We didn't move her to her own room until she was 21 months. Around that time she started more consistently  STTN. You will find there is nothing you can really do about STTN....first they are babies, then they get teeth, then a new skill, then sick once of twice, then more teeth, than another new skill , then sick some more, then more teeth, then sick again....and by then your child is 15 months or maybe even 18 months.

G slept in our bed until 6 months now he co-slepts(in his bed next to us) the first half of the night, and my goal is for him to co-sleep the whole night in his crib next to us by the time he is one....but if it doesn't happen I am not pushing it.

    Mama to Z - 5.5 years, G - 3.5 years, & M - 1.5 years.
