Anyone have this?

https://www.schooloutfitters.com/catalog/product_info/pfam_id/PFAM3059/products_id/PRO9557

They had these at Luca's school this morning.  I HATE his high chair.  It's very hard to clean and has a ton of places for food to hide..  He also tries to stand up in it and throws his cup..  I though these looked really cool and way less mess....  Just wondering if anyone has one...

Re: Anyone have this?

  • We use the Fisher Price Healthy Care Booster at home, which I think you have too (keep it in your car?). It doesn't have padding or fabric...super easy to wipe clean and the tray can go in the dishwasher. $100 seems like a lot to spend on something like that. Maybe I'm just cheap though...

I've been thinking about getting one of these but can't seem to make myself do it since there is nothing wrong with our high chair.

Oh, do it. We had a full-sized Graco high chair and HATED it. It was just too big for our breakfast area (I didn't realize those things were so massive!) and impossible to keep clean. We got the FP booster and never looked back. The big high chair lives at the ILs house, so I don't feel totally guilty about ditching it at home.

?We switched to a booster similar to this shortly after Orion turned 1 and we like it much better. ?In fact we never used the tray and just pushed him right up to the table. ?He seemed to really like eating just like us.

  • The reason I'm looking at this is because we don't have a table and chairs in our kitchen.  We eat at a bar with stools.  I love the booster seat for out and about and friend's homes, but doesn't work at our house.  I HATE our high chair..  It's way too hard to clean...  This looked like a good alternative and much easier to clean...  I also have friend that have kids that can't use the FP one when they are a little bigger, because their legs get too chubby and it's too tight a fit...
  • Doesn't he have a fancy table and chair set now?  Make him eat there, get the money's worth...I kid, I kid.

That is one of my concerns.

Some boosters have a thing (not sure what it's actually called) between the legs, but the Healthy Care does not. It just has a small bump, but Natalie can touch her legs together. So there aren't separate leg compartments (like on a Bumbo or something) that would constrict chubby thighs :)

  • What about something like this?: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30069724

You can buy a tray for it for $5 more: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40076093

  • it's not that the legs don't fit the wide way..  It's that they push on the top of the tray the tall direction...  We love our FP portable chair...  However, I think I'm going to take the plunge and buy this one..  He can eat at the fancy table and chairs when he learns table manners :) (and it's on back order until March)
  • Oh, I get it about the legs. Yeah, I can see how that could happen.

  • It looks cool but a little low - but maybe I'm missing something?
  • It looks like it sits on the floor?  If that is the case, it would NEVER work in our house with my mongrels.  They circle the high chair like sharks as it is.
