Is Robitussin DM ok to take?

Hi ladies, I am hoping I can get some advice from all of you....I have a horrible cough and have been trying not to take anything, but I'm at the point where I have to take something.  I called my dr and they said Rob. DM is ok while nursing, but I'm still nervous (I'm a borm worrier).  Has anyone used this while breastfeeding, if so, did you notice any strange side effects, was DC ok?  TIA!

    Sorry, I haven't taken Robitussin but I did take Sudafed after my pedi said anything OTC was fine to take for a cold.  They just said be sure to drink lots of water to stay hydrated since it could dry me up, and I did notice a slight decrease in production, but nothing major.  I suffered for a while because I didn't want to take anything, but it was worth it to get some relief.  Hope you're feeling better soon!

    I, too, have an awful cough. ?AWFUL!!!

    I have a list of meds from my OB that were fine to take while I was PG. ?Pedi says those same meds are fine to take while BF. ?Robitussin DM was on the list.
