Parenting after a Loss

Soothe and glow seahorse?

Anyone have this? I guess on one of the parenting boards people are raving about it.  Anything that might "mesmerize" E back to sleep sounds like a must have in my book.  Anyone have it? I just ordered one, its only $12.  I'll let you know if it works!

Re: Soothe and glow seahorse?

  • Yes, it was one of the things DH bought DS from "santa". It does work, I turn it on after a nighttime feeding, and by the time it stops playing, DS will be asleep if I am lucky!
  • Loading the player...
  • Cora loves this thing! Reminds me of a gloworm from when I was little.
  • We have the seahorse, too.  Never used it in the bedroom, but it seems to entertain Willem while he is playing on his mat.  The music and water sounds soothe the heck out of me!
  • it's all the rave on the atlanta board
  • I hope it works I have one for each of my babies in their closet.

  • I will be interested to see if he likes it. This is one of those toys I have looked at a couple of times and can't decide on.

  • We got it as a X-mas gift.  Personally, I think it plays the music too loud.  But most of the crib soothers that we have tried are really too loud, and actually wake him up more than put him to sleep.  Good luck with it!

  • We have it and love it, there is two volume level options... just with the flip of a switch.

  • I thought you weren't supposed to have plush toys in the crib with the baby?

  • DS had this in his bassinet from day one.  I don't know who loved it more, my DH or DS.  It's adorable, and Yianni likes him.  The only problem is grandpa spilled his cinnamon Starbuck's latte all over him.  How the heck do you clean that?  I'm afraid Yianni will get some residue from it.  Any ideas?

We bought ours at Target.  Our nursery is under the sea theme, and I have an obsession with sea horses--probably because the male carries the baby!  Wink
