Does anyone have any experience with Dyskinesia?

As in a family member or someone close to them?  My Dad has early onset Parkinson's which has been manageable to a point.  But this weekend he had his first episode of dyskinesia when we were over there having dinner and it really bothered me.  Bothered me in the sense that I felt helpless for my Dad who had no control over his right arm as it swung wildly out in front of him before "breaking" back oddly and then swinging out again.  I wanted to do something for him but all you could do was watch what was happening in disbelief.  I asked him if it scared him and he said no that it was just tiring him out.

For those that have experience with this how do you handle it?  I felt so awful for him.
