NBR - Beer Bread?

I know this is totally random, but I am trying to make dinner.  Do you think I can use a Winter Lager to make beer bread?  Its been so long since I've had one that I can't really remember the taste - will it mess up the flavor? Its the only beer in the house.  (I'm making chili for dinner - yum).  Thanks for any opinions

I think any beer would be good.  My mom actually makes it with sprite or mt dew and it's delicious.

It will be fine.  I usually use a light beer, because it is less bitter.  On occasion I do make it with Guinness just for variety.

Yay!  I was hoping to avoid going to the liquor store pregnant.  Hopefully DH doesn't mind me using his last beer!

I made it with winter ale a few weeks ago and it was really bitter. I barely ate any, and I love beer.
