Anyone else have this?

Last night after dinner I started having what felt like indigestion, but it didn't go up into my chest really.  It got worse and worse as the evening went on.  By 8:30 it was the most god awful pain EVER!  It would burn and then every couple minutes it would intensify what felt like 100 times worse almost like it was contracting.  The pain would be there, in my shoulders, and through my back.  I could do nothing but lay there and cry everytime the intense pain would come on.  Half a bottle of Tums did not help, the only way I could get it to be somewhat mild was to lay on my back.  Does anyone have any clue what this could have been?  This morning it is still somewhat there.  It reminded me of a gall bladder attack but a Dr. took mine out about 4 years ago, I am wondering if it is possible that he left it  : )

honestly, it sounds like just really bad heartbunr. have you tried elevating your head when you lay down instead of lying flat?

Sounds alot like what I had the other night only my pain was more towards the upper part of my back.  Ended up being trapped gas but it was SO painful and I swore it was a gallbladder attack.  I drank a couple of seltzer waters yesterday and that helped movie it out.

Could still be gallbladder--kind of.  You can still make gallstones that can block your biliary ducts.  Might want to get it checked out.

Are you serious?!?!  Thank you ladies for the input, I was so close to getting DH to take me to the ER and I HATE the ER.  I was so desperate and somewhat nervous.  I have never in my life had anything like that.

I am sure if you have had a gallbladder attack before you haven't forgot the pain!  It actually could still be your gallbladder. My sister had hers removed about 5 years ago and she had another attack over the holidays. For her it was salami on a sub that sent her over the edge. I would ask your OB about it though. Hopefully it was just heartburn or gas!!
