Lamaze classes

DH and I are starting Lamaze classes tonight.  Obviously I know they are going to go over the breathing techniques.  The class is four times, 2.5 hours each time, though.  What else do they fill up the time with?  I can't imagine it takes 10 hours to learn the breathing!

They will probably explain to you the different phases of labor from start to finish.  We just took our birthing class this Sun and it was 5 hours.  It also included newborn care (such as bathing, swaddling, diaper changing, etc) and a quick CPR primer.  Not sure if they'll go over that sort of stuff in a Lamaze class though.

We just did our class this weekend, which was much like what the pp described. ?Ours was two days and the first day was primarily spent on describing the labor process and then learning about the breathing, position changes etc. ?It may not seem like it but there's a lot of info to fill the time!
