i found out today that a co-worker who lives very close to me has his 5 month old daughter in an in-home daycare that is very close to our home.
he's happy with it so far, and its much cheaper than what we're paying right now, and she has an opening for one more child. dh and i are going to discuss more seriously in the next day or two, because it could save us a ton each month.
we've already moved dd once, and she was ok, but now that she's more aware of her surroundings i'm concerned about how she'll respond. it took her a few weeks to settle into a routine. has anyone ever changed daycares? how did your dc handle it?
Re: switching daycare?
We put Kaitlyn back into daycare around a year old... She had about a week of waking up at night again and of crankiness (BUT she was used to always being at home w/ MIL, rather than already used to the daycare setting). We took her back out around 2 and then she started MDO the September after... that was a much much easier adjustment.
I'm sure she'll do fine, especially since she's already used to being in that kind of environment! And especially if she's going from a larger to a smaller environment.
