We are stuck on boy names, WDYT?

  We have a girls name, Evelyn Renee. I've had it picked out for over ten years so we are set on that. We don't know what we are having put I'd really like one name for each picked out by the time we go to my ultrasound so we can call then by their name as soon as we know. We has picked out the name Logan Wesley. There is a new Wolverine movie comming out this year and DH is worried that the name Logan is going to become even more popular. The other name we are considering is Caleb Wesley. MIL doesn't like that idea because her other grandchildren are Cale, Cade, Caden, and Kaylee. It wasn't done on purpose. What name do you like better Logan Wesley or Caleb Wesley?

One of my nephews is Logan and I like the name.

It's a moderately popular name but I don't think the movie Wolverine is going to affect it much. Stick with the one you like.

we really like Logan, but have two issues with it.  one is it is becoming somewhat popular and the other is that it can be a girls name as well (although not as popular)  Any name that can be unisex is thrown out for us...  But, I do like Logan!!  (in my experience, every caleb I have known has been a brat, so that taints that one for me...)

I LOVE Logan...

But I might be partial to it b/c I'm one of the crazies that's obsessed with Wolverine/Hugh Jackman and wish I could name my baby Logan. But then that would be weird b/c my son would be named after a man I, erm- love.

if you like logan, go with it- the movie won't be around that long, and i dont think many ppl name their kids after movie names?  could be wrong though.

Both are nice names, but personally I prefer Logan.

Logan is my favorite boy name.  I adore it.  But, it is way too popular, so we are not using it.  I like Caleb, also... sorry, I guess I'm not much help!

PS - Don't let your MIL deter you from Caleb if that would be your choice otherwise.  It's not as if it's the same exact name as the others!

Don't go off of what your MIL likes/doesn't like. It's your baby. But with that said, I prefer Logan, but it is getting VERY popular!! Although I just looked at the top 100 baby names in the US for 2008 - Logan was #9 and Caleb was #18. So either choice is pretty popular and will probably only get more popular this year.... So just choose the one you like the best!

I think I'm the only person I know named after a movie character (bionic woman-wow I know), so I wouldn't have that as a big concern. If you like Logan, go with it. Though it is already popular! And if your MIL didn't deter anyone else from naming their children with a 'kay' sound at the beginning of their names, then don't let it stop you either. Either go with the trend of the family, or have this baby be unique for your clan and go with Logan! No one else is having your baby, and I'm sure you don't tell anyone what to name their kids! Do what's right for you two!

Logan!!!!  I like that one a lot.....though Caleb is very cute too.  Go with what you like and don't worry about it!
