Doc appt question

Okay- just switched insurance and am meeting with my CNM Thursday for the first time. My last appt/ultrasound was at 12weeks, and I was supposed to go in for 16 week but didn't cuz the insurance thing.

So, what will happen at this one besides the urine, weight, and measure?? Anything new to look forward to? Will they look for the sex (I hope!!)???

    At my 16-week appointment I got to find out the sex...but my OB had me schedule the ultrasound in advance so I knew it was coming. I'm guessing most offices don't just surprise you with an ultrasound. I bet it will be a routine appt for you the first time around since it's a new doctor.

    When I switched insurance they gave me another U/S, but I will say that both places if they were going to look for the sex I had to actually go to a different place than the regular U/S because that one isn't "official" because it's done by tech's not radiologists.  Who knows though - maybe you'll get lucky. 

    If you can - bring a record of all the blood tests that you had done because they will want a copy, or will want to do them all again for you.
