I am completely on edge.

DS1 has been puking sick today.  He went to the pedi and got a shot for nausea and has been ok since about 2:30.  We've given him 1oz fluids every 30 mins and he's kept them down.  I gave him two mini saltines and some jello and he's kept it down that I know of - he went to bed a little over an hour ago.

Every little noise on the monitor has me freaked that he's up there puking again, even though I really have no reason to be.  I will check on him before bed, but I fear that we're going to be up all night.  I don't know if this is irrational or what since I have no experience with this.

I don't know, I guess I just could use some positive reinforcement or something that this will pass as everything does.  Sigh.

  • WOW. What an awful day!!! I'm so sorry he's been so sick, but that's really good that he's been able to keep things down for so long now. It sounds like you did things slow enough that it shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Try not to worry. He's going to be fine. :)?

  • Aw, poor little guy. And poor mommy! I hope he gets better soon. I'd be on edge too, but I'm sure he'll show some improvment tomorrow.

  • Your day has totally sucked, I'm sorry he is so sick.  Of course it will pass but that probably doesn't make you feel so wonderful tonight.  Hopefully he'll make it throught the night without throwing up and you can get some rest too.  You poor thing!  Lots of hugs to you.
  • (((hugs))) I hope he's better soon. Everything will be ok.

    Oh, and happy belated birthday.
