When is too late to travel???

So I am due June 24th and my MIL planned my baby shower on May 17th.  The kicker is, I live in Indianapolis and the shower is in Pittsburgh.

Should I be concerned that this is too late to travel, even if someone drives me???

I hate to be a downer, and I dont know the exact week, but Im going to guess that its like, 34ish weeks.....youll be what 36?  I dont know if I would chance that!

Oh yeah, I didnt read the car part, but if its really far, I still dont know if I would want to plan something thta far ahead if its too far away, I mean, you could be starting to have contractions or something around then..you never know

I'd ask your dr now and also when it gets closer to the shower. It may be fine now but depending on how your pregnancy is going, he may not feel so comfortable with it later. Can your MIL change the date to even 2 weeks earlier??

I am not allowed to travel after 26 weeks, due to my history and current placenta previa.  But I think I'm the exception, not the norm.

Ask your doctor - they'll probably have a pretty strong opinion one way or the other.

Even if doc gives you the green light, I'd imagine that a long car or plane ride would be pretty damn uncomfortable at that point. ?If you've got the option, reschedule or work something else out. ??
