Swiffer or shark steam mop or other brand steam mop anyone? I would like to buy one of these types of mops. Anyone have a review they would like to share? Thanks!
I am in LOVE with my swiffers. I use the swiffer-vac for dry cleanup, and the swiffer wet jet for quick mopping needs. For the "juice," I just used up the original swiffer stuff and replaced it with a vinegar/water/fragrance mixture. Instead of buying the disposable pads, I bought Method microfiber pads from Target. Works great!
Thanks for the recommendation ... that's sort of what I was planning on doing if I get the swiffer. I am just skeptical at how well it will actually clean. It is good to know that it works for you.
see THIS (well and many other reasons really) is why i love you ladies - what an awesome idea to EF-ize a product otherwise prone to excess waste! EFFers are smarty-pants chicks if i ever saw some!

How do ya'll rig the dispenser to fill your own solution? It looks a little tricky, but obviously it can be done = D ?
I should add -- once you've hacked into the bottle, the mop needs to be stored upside down (so that the bottle is right-side up), or it may leak. Not cool, but worth it IMO.
I have also heard that soaking it in hot water helps with getting the cap off. Another person told me that they drilled a hole in the top of the bottle and put a cork in it. This way they did not have the storing upside down/leaking problem.

I would do it this way or make sure you and everyone who uses it always remembers to remove the bottle or like Glad said it will leak. Mine didn't start leaking right away and when it did, I think it fried the electronics in the swiffer. It still works but it goes through batteries like every other time I use it now. =( Since you generally would store it with the bottom of the bottle up, I think drilling the whole in the top is the easiest option. Even without a cork, you'd probably be fine.

Ok, so I'm late to this post, but just in case you're still listening...
If I had any smarts like these ladies, maybe I wouldn't have gotten the Shark Steam Mop, but I did and I love it. It uses only water, no waste, no chemicals and it works great. I love it. ?
I'm still listening ... and thank you. I am actually leaning towards a steam mop such as the shark. I just don't get to mopping very often and I want something that will deep clean. : )

A pipe wrench works wonders.
