It's a girl!

I'd like to introduce everyone to Alison Elizabeth.  She was born Thursday night at 9:21 PM.  8 lbs. 6 oz, 21 inches long - and she was born 3 weeks before her due date!

I felt a little cruddy Wednesday evening, but nothing I thought would be contractions or indications of labor.  My water broke Wednesday night, we headed to the hospital where I was having contractions but nothing regular all Thursday morning, they put me on pitocin around noon, got an epidural around 3:30, and started pushing around 5:30.  After 3 hours of pushing with hardly any progress during the last hour and half, we decided a C-section was the best option at that point, she baby was still healthy and it wasn't an emergency. 

She is healthy and beautiful, and we get to go home tomorrow!
