Anyone had implantation bleeding you thought was your period?

I am spotting and am probably just in the beginnings of my period, but curious about implantation bleeding. My p. should start within the next couple of days and I'm about nine days post O. I am hoping for the best, but won't be surprised if it's the big period. Anyone had that type of bleeding before you found out you were pregnant?

My implantation spotting was CM mixed with blood. It was around 7-9dpo. I got my BFP around 11-13dpo.

Thanks CMDR for responding. I did not have that but did have CM all throughout this week off/on which I thought was odd. I guess I'll just have to do a wait and see approach.

on 8dpo, i checked my cm and it was brownish tinged.  never enough to make it to my underwear.  got my bfp 10dpo- maybe that was implantation?  i dont really know.

Mrsleslie thanks for the warning. I did do some research online about this, but I wanted to check with "real" ladies who have had that happen. I'm sure, as like all the other crazy question ladies, I'm probably being too anxious and hoping for something that's not there.

I did.  I thought my period was starting with my 3rd pregnancy and this one.  I bled quite a bit.  GL.

I had implantation spotting for one day on 12dpo and I thought it was AF coming since I always spot the day before. The spotting wasn't really bleeding, more like CM mixed with brown (dried up blood). And I only noticed it when I wiped. GL though!

BTW, implantation spotting is not rare, I had it, my cousin had it both times with her pregnancies and I know other people who had it. I wish people would stop saying it's rare. It isn't, look it up on the internet, and it's in all the pg books as well.

Here's the thing with fishing -- I can't look inside your vag & tell you exactly what is happening with your uterus.

It could be implantation spotting. ?It could be your period.

I have spotted before at 7dpo & it has been imp. spotting. ?I have spotted before starting at 6dpo & not been pregnant.

There is simply no way of telling you what is happening, or giving you any reassurance, based upon my experience. ?Different bodies, different experiences.

And the pregnancy books all say that only about 15% of women truly get implantation bleeding... So yea I wouldn't say it's very common. FWIW, I had CM all week before my BFP. That was the ONLY thing that was "off" for me. No sore boobs, not tired, nothing. I wish the best for you! GL

I had some spotting the day before my period was supposed to start and half the day oafter, which I thought was my period starting. It wasnt normal blood though. Not to gross you out or anything, but it was more dried blood mixed with discharge like when ovulating. Two days later I took a test and it was positive! Good Luck!

I didn't have implantation bleeding with my first but did with the 2nd.  I remember thinking it was odd that I was bleeding about a 1 week prior to when my period should start.  It was just a little blood and then nothing.  GL

I've had implantation with both of my pregnancies. ?The first time, I had it at 6dpo and got bfp 11dpo. ?This time I had spotting at 5dpo, and I just had a feeling it had to be implantation again. ?I tested early and got bfp at 9 dpo.

I had some light spotting the day I was supposed to get my period...about 15 DPO (i think).  I thought it was my period starting but then got no more bleeding after that.  I got my BFP 2 days later.

I had it a few days before my period was due. I thought it was my usual spotting beforehand, so I proceeded to drink like a champ, drowning my sorrows. Five days later I got my BFP!
