ughh, so, i've had a bloody headache now for about four days. my husband doesn't want me to take tylenol or anything for fear, of the side effects! Not only did the chump knock me up but he gave me the most epic cold of my entire existence. I say its the most epic because I have been guilt tripped into going sans meds for sake of the hypothetical side effects. I mean I know i shouldn't take any crazy stuff and there are some side effects to like advil and asprin.

my question to you lovely ppl is, should i sneak a Tylenol or keep on suffering? and if so how many mg?

I was told 2 tylenol would be fine to take. I would also google it and show your DH that it's perfectly fine to do so.

Oh, so sorry! I have the WORST headache right now, and it SUCKS. I took some tylenol, but honestly, it did nothing. I just took two, regular strength -- I'd say it's worth a shot, and really, it's you who's suffering, not your husband!

My neurologist told me Tylenol is fine. In fact, he recommended I take it with a little bit of caffeine. Might not knock the headache out completely, but at least it becomes tolerable. Hope you feel better.

Tylenol is perfectly fine!! You just can't take advil, motrin or aleve.

Also, if it gets worse -- call your dr. about taking benedryl or sudafed. Both were OK for me by my doctor when I caught a really bad cold that eventually turned into bronchitis!!

I had a headache yesterday and the day before. ?Although the dr. said it was okay to take Tylenol, I was still afraid to. ?If you don't want to take Tylenol & u don't have anything to do - lying down in a dark room for a few hours helped me. ?

i was advised by my doctor that tylenol is MORE than ok if taken in moderation and as directed on the bottle. take some tylenol!!!

Take the Tylenol. Sudafed (30-60 mg), Sudafed Plus (pseudoephedrine 30 mg, chlorpheniramine 4 mg), Actifed (pseudoephedrine 60 mg, triprolidine 2.5 mg) and Chlor-Trimeton (60 mg) are all on my approved list as well.

Definitely agreeing with the others - take the Tylenol.

Also, have you tried taking cool (not cold) showers? They've been helping me immensely with my pg headaches.

It'll get better, really....just think about the bean and how worth all the suffering he/she is

yeah, but no for the cold. i heard it was normal and not a serious thing to have a cold and headaches. i'm going to see the doctor next week though.

i know this might sound dumb but what does dh stand for?

Do not suffer. Call your doc on Monday for the "approved" list. Mine is a page long and they are a range of medicines for things to cover colds and flus, etc.

Girls, by not taking something, you are not doing yourself (or your baby) any favors. How can you be afraid of tylenol? It's not going to hurt your baby and if you are unhealthy it is just going to make your whole body (and baby) be miserable. Get over it, take the medicine and stop worrying so much. Babies have survived a lot worse.

Take something and drink a coke (if you're one of those that isn't freaked out by a little caffine). Your DH (dear husband) should just know that you're going to do what's best for your baby but you shouldn't have to suffer with a headache. If he doesn't want to listen throat punch him then quickly take it while he's trying to recover and then he can't stop you!

take a 325mg tylenol..its practically the only thing that you can take all pregnancy long. I'm suffering too but its better to have a tylenol and get some relief than risk a dangerous fever and losing the babe.
