My doctor changed my due date again.

in 1st Trimester

It was originally 8/25/09 it was changed to 8/20/09. She just told mt yesterday that she was changing it back to 8/25 even though the baby is measuring bigger than that. Has anyone had this happen?

 

P.S. I don't mind the change. It mean that the baby may be born on my Pop-pop's (grandpa)  81st birhtday.

    If the baby is measuring bigger - why is she changing the date back?  Did she tell you?

    Jeez, doesn't your Dr know that they aren't supposed to change the due date unless there's a huge difference? Babies have growth spurts at different times. Sheesh, what a dork! Tell him  to stop messing with you! (=

    She said that it might be a growth spurt, so she wants to keep the original, just in case.

    The baby is measuring a week bigger than I am pregnant, so she changed it back.

    mine changed from 8/4 to 8/3 to 7/31...so im just sticking with 8/2 based on LMP since who knows when the actual day will be...lol.

    Isn't the doctor supposed to be the one to tell you that it's an "estimated" due date, not an "exact" due date?  Pick a day...any day...any day you choose.

    Yeah, my first was born nowhere near his due date, so I wouldn't really worry about it if I were you. He was due 1/4/06 and was born 12/24/05.  ;)

    I've heard that the OB will change a due date if it's +/- 5 days of what they originally figured but if you are measuring big I don't understand why she'd got further out??

    With my DD, I was due 5/8/04 and delivered 4/24/04 and she weighed in at 8lbs 8oz!  They come when they are ready.

    My OB would only change the due date if it was more than a full week off.  Otherwise, he goes by your lmp
