This was an actual name at our local hospital this month for a poor defenseless little girl.  Some other gems:

Girls:

YaNita (Too many jokes come to mind. . .)

Oakley (Someone really likes their sunglasses)

Jazlin (What happens when you can decide between Jasmine and Caitlyn, I suppose)

Brylee (b/c there were too many Rylees, so they wanted something Younik)

Abiegayle (alternate spellings are kewl)

 

Boys:

Kyp (Y abuse)

Cruz (a David Beckham fan?)

Aryan (not okay for a baby of any color, IMO)

Aryan is a common Indian name.  I'll be the parents have NO idea about the connotation in the US.  I have Indian friends who were going to name there kid this.

The compromised to Arya...still iffy, but I guarantee they have no clue about the Aryan Nation et al

I definitely hope the family is Indian (the baby does look like he could be)!  I have a neighbor who is a white supremacist, (scary, scary dude!) so I immediately thought it was something he might actually name his child.

Brylee looks far to similar to Bryl.   As in brylcreem, the men's hair styling product.

there was a Jaylbird at my school a few years ago.  And twins named Treasure and Treasure (spelled the same...one pronounced Treasury).

Hm. For some reason I think Tayder, if it must be used, would make a better boy's name.

Jazlin reminds me of the ANTM winner, Jaslene. DH hates her with a burning passion for some reason.

I could be wrong, but I think Cruz is a fairly traditional Portuguese name.  The others are flat out awful though.
