My sister-in-law is really into using essential oils and natural cures for ailments.

I told her I was experiencing some dry heaving and gagging and nausea, and she suggested peppermint oil.  We have a diffuser for essential oils, and the peppermint oil has worked wonders!  Seriously, it's like . . . I inhale and smell peppermint and I feel great!  I've been carrying the diffuser to every room.

You can also put peppermint oil behind your ears if you haven't got a diffuser.  Just be careful because it will sting if it gets in your eyes or on very sensitive skin!

Anyway, don't know if peppermint oil would work for everyone, but it has really worked for me.  Just thought I'd share!

  • I totally forgot about that stuff! My mom gave me a bottle a long time ago when I was getting migraines a lot. It really helped with the nausea back then!
