I am O- so there are rh shots for me... I got one the other day when I spotted and was very surprised that it needed to be given on the butt. ::pouts::

Boo, I am O- so I have to get it, nothing like getting a shot in your A$$!  With my pregnancy for DS I got that and then two steriods shot in the butt also.   Fun times!

I am O- and had some bleeding last week so I've already had it and it HURT ....I was like what am I going to do when I have a baby!! That thing sucked.

Basically it's a shot that prevents Rheuses Disease.  Which is a hemolytic diesase of newborns.  So depending on your blood type (if you're a Rh- mother) the shot will destruct fetal Rh+ red blood cells that have passed from babies circulation to mom's circulation.  I don't know if that helps!

I got one last night at the ER for spotting. They gave it to me in my arm and it HURT. If I need another, I'm going to ask for it in the butt. My poor arm still hurts 12 hours later...
