what to expect

DH and I met with the OB nurse last week. She asked us a bunch of questions, gave us some reading material, gave me a pee cup to bring back my FMU today, and asked for me to go get blood work and my TB shot before my appointment with the doctor on Friday (today). She told me that I won?t get an u/s until about 18 weeks unless I opt for the NT scan at which I will have one at 11weeks. She mentioned today is a full exam. What exactly does that mean? I know about the pap but if I am not getting an u/s what else can I expect?

They didn't do a pap on me because I had just had one a few months before I got pregnant, but she did do a cervical exam and then felt the uterus and also did a breast check.

Ditto, I had a internal exam and breast check at my first OB appt.  I think she also did a swab for something but I can't recall what it was, I know it wasn't a PAP because I am up to date on that.  After the appt, I had blood work and gave them a urine sample.
