Re: pop tarts

  • ARE DANGEROUS.
  • Loading the player...
  • My local grocery store was giving away boxes of pop tarts at check-out when I went to the store on Sunday - it was very random.

I ate them, I dont think I had ever eaten a pop tart before, and I have now eaten an entire box in less than a week - yuck..

  • i ate them every morning for breakfast up until my BFP- then i wanted oatmeal instead.

but only if you eat them while in a tanning bed.

  • Seriously you folks should launch a campaign to experience Joe Louie's in the US. They could potentially be an even better Canadian Export than say all of our oil.

  • Pop tarts gross me out.  You put them in the toaster and they get all warm, and yet somehow the "frosting" on top stays stuck to it.  It's just not right.  What is that stuff made out of that it doesn't melt when heated?

I didn't understand any of that at all.

I love pop tarts, especially brown sugar

  • Are they pasteurized?
  • They are safe as long as you dont stand in the kitchen while the toaster is on....

It was discovered on here earlier this week that Americans don't have something called Joe Louie's that we have here in Canada. They are little chocolate cakes, dipped in chocolate and have a creamy whipped filling of icing sugar. Apparently they make Lil Debbie's look like cardboard snacks to those who have tried both. I have discovered that I adore these only during pregnancy as before they revolted me.?

  • Agreed, they're really good in a totally gross way. I miss Canada!!

  • We miss you too. I don't know where ?you are but I will be a typical polite Canadian!!! I should probably apologize too. We tend to do that.?
  • Pop tarts... Oh boy. I think you may have started me on a quest to have some by the end of the day. I don't even toast 'em.

ROTFLOL. I totally agree. They gross me out too. I think it's the way the filling looks that makes me quesy. Yuck.
