Sign petition for SMA!!

Here's a message from the girl who I have been emailing who's 5mo nephew passed from SMA this year.  Let's all spread the word and sign this petition!

 

Also wanted to urge you to sign the petition to cure SMA - www.petitiontocuresma.com and spread the word.  I am not sure why there is such little publicity on this killer disease but it can be avoided if both parents undergo genetic testing (both parents have to be a carrier of the gene in order to pass it to their children).  1 in less than 40 people are carriers, which is pretty close to the carrier rate for cystic fibrosis.  SMA genetic testing is being added to the "panel" now at many many hospitals so we can be thankful for that.
