First Baby Stuff

I was excited because I bought the first baby item on Tuesday.  I have been refusing to buy anything until we know if it's a girl or a boy.  Plus, I'm afraid once I start buying, I won't be able to stop.  SO the other day I saw a fireman rubber ducky that I could not resist (DH is a fireman) and I thought I had bought the first baby item.  DH has been out of town for training and admitted tonight that he actually beat me to buying the first baby item by a few hours!!  He won't tell me what it is, he says I have to wait until I get up there tomorrow  (Not quite a babymoon planned for this weekend, but at least a weekend that isn't at home!!)

Re: First Baby Stuff

  • awww, how cute! That's def a good purchase :-)

We're really early and we're moving this summer so I'm not sure when I'll allow myself to buy something.

  • I bought a baby book for the first....the kind where you fill it out with info about when you first found out, ultrasound pics, etc!

    Yay!

  • Cute. My first purchase was an "I Love Daddy" onesie that "the baby" gave DH for Christmas. We had just gotten our BFP the week before and I couldn't resist.
  • I am kind of an addict when it comes to baby stuff, so am proud of myself that I have only gotten one thing so far.  I was a Target the other night and they had LOTS of baby stuff on clearance.  I found this baby hammock seat that folds up and can be taken with you very easily.  I figured that would be nice to keep in the car for when we are at our families houses.  And it was only 7 bucks!

  • I went shopping the same day I got my BFP, but I was able to restrain myself pretty well. I bought a package of 5 onesies, but that was because one of them said, "Grandma loves me" on it, and that's how we wanted to tell MIL.  I also bought two Christmas themed onesies since I'm due in September and they were on sale for $3 each.  The only other things I've bought are two books.

I walk past a Baby Gap on my way to work everyday, though, so I don't know how much longer I'll be able to hold out.  I keep telling myself it will be more fun to buy stuff once I know if the baby's a girl or boy.
