I'm Totally Confused

So I'm completely confused right now. I'm 8 weeks preggo (based on the preggo math), but we went in today and got to see the heart beat (yay) and the baby was measuring really small (6 weeks). I'm trying not to freak out, but all of the measuring things that i look at say that the bean should be almost 2 cm and instead it's 6mm... The doctor wants me to come back in 2 weeks for another picture. Does this mean that something is wrong? I'm really nervous and I know that I should just relax... but why is this all so confusing and strange?? Ack. help... anybody have any advice? Also maybe it's just that I ovulated a little bit later than I thought? Ugh. So nervewracking. Help!

You probably just got pregnant later than you thought. Sometimes our cycles get a little messed up.

lots of factors could be in play here ... if you have a longer cycle or if you O'ed late.

At this point, there is nothing you can do either way. So just try to relax and try not to stress too much.

I agree with others that you probably just ovulated a little late. Were you charting? If not, I'd say it's much more likely that that is the case. Hope all turns out ok!
