I've never owned a scale..until today.
I stepped on it and was none to happy with what came up..I feel overwhelmed with the amount of weight that I need to loose before Vegas, I want to be able to be happy with how I look in the pictures and not hide them. lol
Anyways...I was wondering how often you all weigh yourselves and what time of day? I dont want to go overboard and get obessed with the number but I would like to see progress (yes, I know, muscle weighs more than fat) many people have told me to base my weight loss on how my clothes fit but Im a visual person and need to see numbers

I've got about 40lbs to loose and I know its not going to happen before April but hope to give it my all to at least get some of it off!
Thanks!

Re: How often do you weigh yourself??
I don't own a scale so I can't be of much help.
When I was babysitting for a friend though I was amazed how much my weight fluctuated not only from day to day, but from hour to hour.
Full stomach, full bladder vs. empty stomach empty bladder makes a big difference for me - sometimes a couple pounds!
So I would say no matter what, don't focus on the daily numbers too much, rather look at weekly trends.
Good luck!?

Good point, thank you!
Ditto.
Once a week at WW. First thing in the morning. In the same clothes every week. Only afterwards do I get coffee. I also have a scale at home but it?s a dial and the numbers are hard to see (because they?re small, not because my gut is so big) so if I step on it, I?m only looking at the general area the needle points.
I'm undergrowing my weigh in pants.
I'm obsessive compulsive with the scale unfortunately... Especially now, but thats more because I am fascinated with how quickly the numbers are going down! =D
The only weight I trust however is the one I take in the morning, after I go to the bathroom and before I shower. Usually clothes vs. no clothes doesnt matter becuase my pj's aren't too heavy just tank top and shorts.
Oh my god, if my scale was +8lbs, that thing would be in the trash!! I weigh myself almost every morning...I find that it really helps me focus on eating well and not doing the "I get to eat that 'cause I'm pregnant" thing too often!
I also have done Weight Watchers and really loved the structure.
