I was just looking at Perez Hilton and he was pretty brutal about Jessica Simpson's weight gain.  I think she looks normal.  Not celeb skinny, but a normal size and definitely NOT FAT.  He also posted a cartoon that was in the NY Post this morning with her looking obese.  I would die if I gained a few pounds and became the joke of the world.  Yes, her outfit was completely shiticious, but she looks fine otherwise.  I can not imagine what she is going through right now.  And to top that, people keep defending her, which keeps it in the press longer.  Shut up enough everyone.

I can completely understand why celebrities get such a distorted self image.  I would be so upset if I were Jessica Simpson - she is a beautiful girl and should not feel otherwise.

I would not be surprised if 6 months from now she is rail thin.

The outfit wasn't the best, and that is a horrible angle for anyone.  Plus, I really thought that photo looked like it was altered...her face looked really wide, like it was stretched.  Either way, people are jerks.  It's not like Perez has always been the skinnest person in Hollywood.

I am no JSimp fan, but I totally agree.  And who is Perez to be talking?!  Have you ever seen him?  He's totally chunky and hideous.

Yeah I think it is disgusting how the media focuses on things like that.  When they showed a clip of her music video for that Dukes of Hazzard song, she looked sickly.  I'd rather have curves than look unhealthy, but girls today get the message that you have to look skinny and sexy to feel good about yourself.  It's maddening.

The media would be much better off focusing their attention on much more meaningful things.  It's sad really.

Umm, is Perez really in a position to critique weight?  He has lost some, but he is not exactly slim by celebrity standards either.

It makes me really really sad.  Especially when young, impressionable girls are getting the message that someone like Jessica Simpson is FAT.  She looks healthy.

It makes me so frustrated.

US Weekly will probably put it on the cover, along with printing her diet and exercise routine.  They always do that crap.

Seriously. Jeans aside, she looked good. In the picture I saw, her face was glowing.

I bet her dad set the whole thing up to keep her in the press.  The first I even saw of it was how Ashlee was defending her. 

 Still sucks, though...I thought she looked fine.
