How bad is Walmart's return policy ?

I bought a blender/food processor about two weeks ago at Walmart.  I've used the blender and had no issues.  I used the food processor today and I filled it up with water to soak and the black finish from the spinner came off and the plastic is no a purplish black tint.  I would like to exchange it for another one, but I three the box out.  I have the receipt and its been under 30 days.  Do you think they would let me exchange it?  The customer service section is always chaos so I don't want to lug DS all the way up there if they won't let me exchange it.

TIA!

  • Walmart has a pretty good return policy. As long as you have the receipt, they can scan it, and let you exchange it.

  • You've got the receipt and it's defective - I'd think they'd have to let you return it? Unless they require you send it to the manufacturer. Maybe give a call?

  • Wal-mart has the most lenient return policy I've seen. Although I haven't tried to return something without a box, since you have the receipt it might work. Just call them before you head over there.

DD got 2 of those FP penguins for Christmas, I bought one from Kohl's and one of DH's aunts bought one from Wal-mart. I grabbed one to return to Wal-Mart and it was the wrong one, I saw the Kohl's sticker on it when we were at the register and told the guy and he took it back anyway since it was in the system. I was prepared to try and find my Kohl's recepit and take it back there, I did not think they would take it. Good luck.

  • If you have your receipt, you can exchange/return it.
  • I've had great luck returning stuff there. Go for it, definitely.
  • Yes, I think they will let you exchange it with the receipt. If anything, they may ask you to leave them the box at customer service. Bed Bath and Beyond had me do that once so they can send it back to the company.
