Jodi...1000 cal.

When I was 15, I decided I needed to weigh 95 lbs., so I cut my daily calories to 1000 and fat to 10g. I was starving myself. You cannot fit all of the necessary nutrients you need. It sounds great, especially if you're not feeling starved, but it's dangerous, seriously. In my nutrition classes in college, my prof. put it this way---your body is like a car. You have to have fuel in your car or everything that makes the car run starts to break down. Your metabolism is like an incinerator. If you don't put something in it to keep it going, it will shut down. It's best to eat 5 small meals during the day and make each one count nutritionally. If you reduce to 1000, you might feel great initially, but after a week or so you won't have the energy to work out, you'll be snappy towards your loved ones, and your body will kick into starvation mode and start storing everything you eat as fat, whether it is or not. I think you might be mistaken with the ww calculation. I was at 125lbs. and my points were more than 1000 calories per day. The nutrition guides all say no less than 1200. We're all just worried about you and don't want you to get sick. Plus, don't discount the anorexic tendencies. No one sets out to become anorexic. It begins when you see initial success with no eating. The next thing you know, you're no longer in control and the mental illness takes over, consuming your mind and life. • Oh, please don't ever worry about me becoming anorexic!!!  The thought  makes me laugh actually!  :)

But I appreciate your concern -- and I hear and know what you are saying.

For the WW thing, 20 points = 1000 cal (roughly).  If you weigh around 150lbs, you are allowed about 20 pds.  (1 point = 50 cal (roughly)).  So it might work out to be more like 1100 or so --- but I know it's not much more than that (if at all).

I don't want to weigh an unrealistic amount --- actually, I would be PSYCHED to get under 200 at this point.  Anything below 180 is icing on the cake!  :)
