labor ?'s --2nd child

I am 36 wks with baby #2. At the Dr. today I was 3cm and 50%.....with my first I was like that for at least 2 weeks. Wondering what anyone's experiences are with baby #2?? Should I expect about the same amount of time before I go into labor????

I went quicker once dilated with #2.

I was the same with both as far as checkups went, but labor was super fast with #2.

I declined internals before labor but I went into labor at about 41 weeks with both children.

eta: labor for #1 was 2 days.  #2 was 6 hours.

I was 80% and 3cm with number 1 from 37 weeks on, and finally induced at 41 weeks...

with numero dos, I was 1 cm dilated at 37 weeks, and 80% effaced, went into labor naturally ( yay!!) at 40 weeks ( well, one day early) and was only 1.5 cm dilated at the triage ( the contrax were bad enough that they kept me, and I had the baby within 10 hours! woo hoo!!
