After 15 months I am FINALLY weaning!!!!

The babies had their 15 month appt today and they can finally go on cow's milk.  We gave them some today and they drank it right down.  They really liked it.  Even better news is that they are on the growth charts.  Barely, but Marina is 17lb12oz and 29inches and Luca is 20lbs2oz and 31 inches.  It is only like the 3rd percentile for weight, but seeing as they were 1lb13oz each when they were born......I am soooo proud of them.  But as much as I have enjoied nursing, I have primarily pumped and I am so ready to be done.  I am still going to nurse them in the morning for a little while, but I am starting to wean from the stupid pump!

That's awesome that you were able to bf them for so long- what a wonderful start you gave them. *As I sit here pumping* I love bfing but am so over it and cannot wait to retire the pump! ?2 months to go...

Congratulations on bfing/pumping for so long! ?What a wonderful gift to your babies. ?I am weaning right now, and it is going very well. ?I got off my pumping session in just a couple days. ?Then I went from 4 nursing sessions to 2 in the last month. ?I only had one night of feeling uncomfortable. ?

I think it is phenonmenal that you b/f for 15 months. I have only been doing it for a month and it already seems like forever. Good for you!
