Um, if I heard another person at work mention it to me or send me the link to the story, I might have hurt myself. I have a lot of respect for that woman (especially since she made it to 30 weeks or so) but it's not necessary to mention it to me each time you pass me in the halls!

Constantly! It's always "Did you hear about..." or "I heard about... and thought of you."
Um, ok, big difference there, but I'll take my twins and be happy!

yeah...whenever anything triplets or more is in the news, i get a gajillion emails and "have you heard?"s and all that. heh. (and of course, the inevitable "do you watch jon & kate plus 8?" ugh.

Yes, I've gotten a million comments. The one that really gets me is - "You think you have it bad- just think of that poor woman with octuplets!"

#1 - I don't think I have it bad. I feel very lucky and excited.

#2 - The woman with octuplets is also blessed that her children are alive and healthy. She was also in a very different situation than I am in for her to get pregnant with 8 babies!

Its been mentioned to me more than a few times, what really surprises me is how everyone says its an act of God. No its an act of science. Its not a fluke she got preganat with 8 babies.
