Tax question..

Ok, so I have heard that the earned income child tax credit has gone up from $1000 to $3500 per child.  (a girl I work with got her taxes done and got $3500 for her only dd)  I have also been told that that is true but you can only claim 2 kids.  That sucks if its true.  Does anyone know for sure.  Im waiting on my other W2s so we can go.

Good lord,could you imagine 3500 per child with NO limit? ?The Duggars would be crazy-rich.

As for you question, I have no idea, but that's for the reminder to get on our taxes :-)?

Seems to me that the child credit is kind of graduated, if that makes sense.  ie, the more $ you make, the less of a credit you get.  I can't imagine them raising the credit THAT much, but who knows?

I thought of the duggars and J&K as well.  But I highly doubt they meet the income limits for earned income.  The Duggars have several rental properties plus the show.  J&K also probably make too much due to Js job and the show.  There is no way they meet the income limit with the crazy trips and spending they do.  Then again, with the size of their families they might.

Im hoping if there is a limit that is more like 3-5 or something.
