Car Seat question

I am trying to find the recommended time until a car seat has "expired".  My debate is if I should sell Mason's car seat/stroller combo or if we are still within the time frame to use again.  We are not ttc yet, but I would rather sell now then wait, if we won't be able to use it.

I bielieve its 6 years but I do know that both my seats have expiration dates on the back of them imprinted into the plastic.

Yeah I thought something like 5 years... and I do think I remember them saying there should be something on them to tell...
