SInce IVF is our best option, but we can still possibly get pregnant on our own, we are strongly considering adoption of an infant while trying. I cant believe you get a "discount" in fees if adopting an african american baby. Considering we are black, thats cool with us!

yeah- my parents got a "discount" when they adopted my sisters & one of my brothers because they're all african-american (and this was yeeears ago) 2 of them are mixed as well. i don't know why the market for black babies isn't larger- they're the cutest babies IMO but i'm biased- my family is a mixture of everything- but all but 1 of us are african-american

have you thought about a 2nd opinion about iui vs ivf?  how's the lap healing going? 

i commend anyone who wants to adopt.  i think it's an amazing thing!  gl to you, whatever you decide!!

Lenloe, Im thinking about getting a second opinion. I meet with my doctor on Thursday. I took the pics off because I kept hearing about crazy people out there!  I might bring back that.

That is an exciting avenue to explore! Definitely check out the adoption message board. There is a lot of good information over there, and it has been hopping of late.

Your wait will likely be shorter with an AA baby as well. That's pretty cool.

I can't believe that either. I now if we went the adoption route we would be happy to get a child of any race.  Crazy town...
