B-day party on Valentine's Day - bad idea?

Is having a kid's birthday party on Valentine's Day a bad idea?

Its his 7th birthday and its just a party for kids.  His classmates and friends, and we're thinking early afternoon...11am to 2pm or something.

That shouldn't interfere with people's V-Day plans, should it?

We are going to one that day.  I think it's fine.

I think its totally fine - we are also going to one that day. I think if it was super sacred in a family they just would RSVP no.

We are having DD's 2nd birthday party on Valentine's day too.  I asked around and no one said they had any plans between our families really.  Plus it's in the afternoon so people can still go out at night if they planned to.
