Can your nipples be too small for breast feeding? Do they grow more erect as your pregancy moves along and/or when your milk comes in?
I don't have microscopic nipples, they just are not that erect. I really want to BF my twins but am worried i won't be able to without strictly pumping.
Re: BF Question? (Maybe TMI)
Lots of women have the sort of "flat" type nipples - some women even have inverted nipples. Talk to your ob about it - they'll be able to let you know if you have cause to be concerned. And, there things you can put on your nipples to help "draw them out".
It's not all about your nipple though - when a baby nurses a whole bunch of your areola goes in their mouth too.
It will work out! Just talk to your ob or a LC!
Good luck to you!
