Someone in my FB friends posted a parody of those stupid "inspiration" posters. ?The picture is of a baby in a cardboard box and the caption says: "ADOPTION: Send the little fvcker back"
My jaw kind of dropped in disbelief; this is someone I thought had some tact and class. ?My best friend adopted her son last year, so I thought for a second maybe I was just being overly sensitive to the flippant attitude expressed in the poster, but now I'm just angry and want to say something to this person (she is family), but I'm not sure how to put it. ??

Re: Would this offend you or am I overly sensitive?
Liam is 5!
I don't think you're being overly sensitive. I think some of those parody posters are really funny, especially the work-related ones, but what you described is not even remotely amusing to me.
I agree.
Yeah, I get the idea of jokingly wanting to send your kid back. ?That's not what offends me. ?It's the singling out of the adopted child--like it was a mistake to adopt the child. ?
I feel like an adoptive parent would see that and be horrified. ?It's so classless. ??
