The screaming has got to stop

before I go insane.

M has entered this not fun at all stage where the minute she realizes she's getting sleepy, she screams bloody murder for ten to twenty minutes.  Doesn't matter where she's at (bed, swing, bouncy, moby wrap, car seat) she's still going to scream when she starts yawning.  Won't take the paci or the bottle either.

So I'm nesting and sitting where she can see me and occasionally telling her it's okay, momma's still here, etc.  And thinking if it would be bad for me to buy earplugs ...

Re: The screaming has got to stop

  • Oh you poor thing.  F has decided to scream for DH.  I came home from a meeting last night and he said he would do every chore in the house and change every poopy diaper if he just didn't have to hear her scream.  It is the worst.  I hope she returns to a sweet and quiet baby soon.

  • It's awful, I know.  There's nothing like being exhausted out of your mind while listening to that.  Like you need anything else frazzling your nerves.

  • Ava did that too. For a few days she would just scream and not go to sleep. It has gotten a little better. Of course we still rock her to sleep. I am hoping to tranistion her to go to sleep on her own starting next week. I am thinking the screaming will come back. Good luck. I am sure if you got ear plugs you would still be able to hear her. :)
  • We still have days like that.  It is not fun at all - heartbreaking, annoying, frustrating and sad all at the same time - and talk about feeling helpless.
