You haven't been here in a while have you???
TThe park is still there and the pools (now the "public pool") but the rides and all the fun stuff is gone and has been since probably 1990 when I was in middle school. The waterpark part is also gone. Now it's just a big park. With ponds, jogging trails, stroller trails, and yucky ducks that approach you when you take your baby to stroll there. I dohn't go alone though. B/c of the pedafile vans. I swear men go to the DQ get an ice cream cone and then sit in their big vans watching kids play on the swings and stuff. It really makes me feel uneasy.
I have a friend right outside Carbondale in Carterville. And Marion is my Target place. Which I don't get, b/c it's so much smaller than Paducah and there is nothing there. except Target. And the Circuit City distributor which is apparantly closing. .
Re: EXL311
Yeah I actually haven't been there (Paducah) in forever although I do remember when the rides and stuff closed. I guess we never did any water park stuff because I didn't remember that part. I wish it was still open so I could go back and relive it as an adult. I can't believe Marion is where you have to drive to to get to Target. That's practically to Carbondale. But don't forget, Marion may have nothing, but it does have Red Lobster.
ah, Red Lobster. yes, we have one too, but we don't eat there. it's the competitor to DH's restaurant Whaler's Catch down on the riverfront. Whaler's is 100X's better. It's not a chain, locally owned, been here since the 70's.
Are you still in Carbondale then?
